Help Raise Funds in Memory of James Prosser
May 20, 2010
Those of you who know Nigel & Tracey personally will know that James, Nigel’s eldest son, was killed in action last September whilst serving the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Welsh in Afghanistan. James joined the Battalion in February 2009 and was on his first tour of duty … he was just 21.
Taken too soon.
In his memory, Nigel & his Band of Merry Men from Rempstone, Ruddington & East Leake are preparing to take on the National Three Peaks 24 hour Challenge on Thursday 27th May to raise funds for Help for Heroes to provide practical, direct support for our brave and wounded heroes.
The Challenge is to ascend and descend the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in a 24 hour period – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and finally Snowdon. It is a difficult physical challenge with a total ascent/descent in the day of 21384 ft and a total of 21 miles on foot.
A serious challenge considering the furthest this lot normally walk is downhill to the pub !
Please support our fundraising effort and donate now in memory of our Welsh Warrior … never to be forgotten.
