Massive Win for Under 15s

April 27, 2010

Plumtree has a very strong and developing junior section that bodes well for the future playing strength of the club; this strength was demonstrated in some style last Monday when they racked up a massive 139 run victory against Notts & Arnold Amateurs.  The side, skippered by Ross Carnelley, won the toss and decided to bat first.

Plumtree did not lose a wicket in their 20 overs in scoring 155, with three players retiring not out; skipper Carnelley scored 29* and Chris Kerrison and Will Johnson both trousered 52 runs before retiring.

In response, Notts & Arnold couldn’t resist the momentum built up by the Plumtree juniors and succumbed for a paltry 16 all out with the chief destroyers being Dec Marks (3-1-2-3) and future Prime Minister Natty Sikand-Youngs (1-1-0-3); Sticky Palmer and Ewan Marks both grabbed a wicket and there were a couple of run outs rounding off an excellent day for the lads.

Top performance fellas.
