New Honourary Vice Presidents Announced
March 7, 2010
The committee of Plumtree Cricket Club takes great delight in announcing that it has voted to elect three great contributors to the club as Honourary Vice Presidents;
Dallas Coull – long-time opening bat and off-spinner for the club who has now returned to his native Adelaide with wife Nikki and children to set up a new wine tour business. A great player for the club over a number of years and a terrific supporter of off-field activities. Amongst other things, his mastery of the barbecue will be sorely missed.
Jake Haberfield- our overseas pro for the 2008 who did so much to make the club’s debut season in the Premier League such as success. Now starring for South Australia in all forms of the game, he is undoubtedly one to watch in Australia’s future and someone who made a lasting impression on all who met him in his relatively short time at the club.
Rob Shepherd- one of the best and most popular umpires in Nottinghamshire, Rob has been a great supporter of Plumtree and is one of those dedicated people who put in massive efforts to allow the rest to enjoy the game. We are delighted that Rob will be one of Plumtree’s panel umpires in 2010.
There are two things that unite this trio; they have all provided sterling service to the club in a variety of capacities over the years. The other thing is that they are all great guys, all of whom will be furnished with a very warm welcome any time they visit the PCG. Gentlemen, we salute you.
