Plumtree Colts Changes for 2009

Plumtree CC Colts welcome you back to the 2009 season and invite you to our General Registration Evening at the clubhouse on Friday 24th April between 6.00 PM and 8.00 PM. The bar will be open and please remember to bring your completed 2009 registration forms. All coaches will be available on this evening as will our Administration Team to deal with any queries re membership, kit etc.

After a period of consultation and much discussion, Plumtree CC Colts main training session will move from Saturday mornings to Friday evenings.

5.30 PM to 7.00 PM for Rosemary’s age group (under 8s)

6.00 PM to 7.30 PM for all other Primary School Age Groups plus year 7 (U12s)

Sessions will continue to be charged at £2 for members; non-members (including those 2008 members who do not renew their memberships promptly) will be charged at £4 per session. Annual subscriptions for all colts remains unchanged at £15.00.

SATURDAY MORNINGS

will be set aside for focused coaching for specifically identified coaching groups and will be by invitation only at the coaching staff discretion. There will be no additional charge for these sessions and professional coaching is to brought in using Colts funds.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

will be the focus for our ever expanding girls cricket coaching, organised by Rosemary Dove and her team.

TUESDAY EVENINGS

will continue to offer coaching for all boys aged 13 and 14 (years 8 and 9) from 6.00 PM to 8.00 PM (subject to light). Jim Rayner be our coach in charge for these sessions assisted by Jake Haberfield, our overseas player, and other members of the coaching team.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

will cater for older boys aged 15 and above (year 10 onwards) who will train with the senior members of the club.

SOCIAL EVENTS

It is hoped that our Friday evening training sessions will become the main social focus for the colts section – the bar will be open from 5.30 PM and we anticipate holding monthly BBQs and other events to support club funds. We welcome any and all offers of help in our important fund raising efforts and we hope that you will enjoy the varied social events organised for the 2009 season.

U13 – Jim Rayner assisted by Tracey Prosser

U14 – Brian Burgess & Dave White

U15 – Mark Milnes assisted by Eleanor Manton

U17 – Dave White (evening league)

Girls teams – Rosemary Dove & Sue Cuttle
