Clubhouse

Welcome to the Plumtree Cricket Club website, designed to provide members with all the information that they need about the playing and social aspects of the club and to show prospective new members and visitors to the club what we have to offer.  Plumtree Cricket Club is a special place – a traditional village cricket ground, located on the outskirts of one of the prettiest villages in Nottinghamshire allied to a progressive and ambitious membership that represents the club at a high level of recreational cricket – Division A of the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League and Division 1 of the Newark Alliance.

The club was also one of the first in the county to be awarded the highly prestigious ECB Clubmark Award and is in addition an ECB Focus Club.  It has one of the largest junior memberships for all levels of junior cricket for both boys and girls and provides a secure and fun environment for children of all ages to be coached and play cricket.  Senior cricket is played by three Saturday XIs and two on Sunday, with the Sunday 2nd XI designed to bring junior players through to adult cricket.  Facilities at the ground include quality outdoor nets with electronic bowling machine, full pitch covers to allow for high quality pitch production and a superbly presented ground; the pavilion has large, well equipped changing and showering facilities and a high quality and well-stocked bar area for social functions and swapping stories over a beer after a game.

This family-oriented club undertakes a full and varied range of social activities, most of which are held at the club’s well-presented club house complete with fully stocked bar; these events are designed to provide a variety of ways to get together in a social environment and raise funds for the clubs development.

The club is fortunate to be managed by an active and progressive committee of members who are committed to developing the club in the right way – to provide for its members of all ages outstanding cricket facilities allied to a host of social events.

So, whether you are an active player, coach, parent of a cricketer or just someone who enjoys watching competitive cricket in a delightful setting, come along to the Plumtree Cricket Ground or make contact via this site so that we can welcome you to the club in person.
